    This position is responsible for the District computing systems and network administration functions. This work involves summarizing problem characteristics, systems resource tuning, defining systems requirements, designing solutions to systems problems, updating systems/software to current releases and integrating and coordinating diverse technologies. The position is responsible for initiating and evaluating the most current technology available by working with vendors and prepares written recommendations for implementation.
     
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, mathematics or related field. Extensive experience with system administration and specific experience with on-line/interactive processes. Experience with Unix/AIX/Linux, Windows 2003 client/server and Web server. Significant experience with Unix scripting Knowledge of file systems, database management, current hardware systems architecture and client/server techniques.

    Required

    • High School Diploma/GED

    • At least 6 months experience in Business Analytics or Optimization related technologies (e.g., BI, ETL, MDM)

    • At least 1 year experience in Professional Services or Consulting firm environment.

    At least 6 months experience in BAO tools such as: Teradata, Data Stage, Informatica, Ab Initio, Cognos, ILOG, or ERWIN.

    • Readiness to travel up to 50%; traveling 3-4 days a week, home on weekends

    • English: Fluent

     

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • At least 3 years experience in Business Analytics or Optimization related technologies (e.g., BI, ETL, MDM)

    • At least 3 years experience in Professional Services or Consulting firm environment.
